Judge Jackie ‘O’ Henderson pointed out that the judges had guessed Mahalia many times during last year’s season but had been wrong every time.
‘I mean, I’ve heard you sing so many times. And I’m floored that none of us got this,’ she said.
Mahalia said the whole reason she signed up for the show was that she was constantly being Tweeted by fans who thought she was behind one of the masks in earlier seasons.

‘I kept receiving all of these tweets every year, asking if I was on The Masked Singer. I thought, “Why haven’t I been asked to be on The Masked Singer?”‘ she said.
She added that her father Jimmy, 65, was the only person who knew she was appearing on the show – and he even learned how to make pavlova in her honour.
‘I had to tell him because, you know, he kept asking me if I could do some gigs. And he was feeling really wounded and offended that I wasn’t available,’ she said.
