Martin Ward, 18, and Mason Hall and Ryan Geddes, both 19, were travelling in a white Ford Fiesta which hit a tree at around 6.10pm on Sunday. They all died at the scene in Kiverton Park, near Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Ryan, from Kiverton Park, was expecting a baby with his partner, who left a poignant tribute to the man at the scene yesterday.

She called Ryan the “love of (her) life” in the touching message, Yorkshire Live reports.

Flowers and other messages have been left at the scene of the tragedy.

Mason, of Woodhouse, Sheffield, had only celebrated his 19th birthday a few days ago.

His grief-stricken grandfather, Peter Hall, said: “I don’t know what to say. It was his birthday last week. He was 19. And that was it. The end of it.

His last words to me were, ‘I don’t come to see you that often, grandad, but I do love you’. It’s hard.

“It’s hard to swallow. Death’s only just two minutes away for anybody.”

Martin, from Swallownest, near Rotherham, “had so much to live for,” according to one tribute.

South Yorkshire Police are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling along Kiveton Lane at the time or who may have captured relevant dash cam footage.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 676 of October 24.

The crash happened on a short 40mph stretch of country road between the villages of Kiveton Park and Todwick in South Yorkshire.
