Over a 24 hour period between November 21 and 22 snow will fall on large areas of northern England as well as much of Scotland. The monthly outlook for November from BBC Weather has said that colder temperatures are on the way too. Describing the coming freezing conditions and the possibility of snow, the UK Met Office forecast stated: “A rather cold start to the period will likely be followed by a brief recovery in temperatures.
“This is before a possible trend down later on in the month.
“This would bring an increasing chance of some wintry conditions, mainly over the higher ground in the north, but with a slight risk to lower levels.”
Meteorologists working for the BBC have said that unsettled weather pattern will impact the UK through the middle of November.
The latest forecast from the BBC said: “A pattern change is on the horizon as we move into the final third of November and the start of December.

From Sunday November 21 and over the following days “evenings may become cool enough for sharp frosts to develop” as the cold Arctic weather front heads south over Britain.
The BBC forecast in the short term is also for drier and colder conditions.
However, the weather system will create “less windy conditions” that will evolve over the week, particularly “across Northern Ireland and Wales”.
The Atlantic High weather system “will create some interference and impede any stronger systems” coming from the east.
Referring to the Atlantic High system the BBC stated, “this would mean that any systems that do brush the British Isles will tend to be on the weaker side with relatively reduced precipitation”.
For the immediate short term conditions the BBC stated that there will be “risks for anomalous cold” weather.
This cold weather will feed high wind conditions developing primarily in Scotland.
