    DON’T MISS

“This is because vinegar contains chemicals known as polyphenols which are phytonutrients (plant-based micronutrients) that function like antioxidants and have been shown to promote gut health and fight bad bacteria.

“Polyphenols may also help improve immune function, slow the ageing process, improve recovery after workouts, and reduce body fat.”

The experts claimed it can help post-exercise recovery and reduce body fat.

However, they warned dieters it “won’t replace a healthy lifestyle”.

“But it does appear to be safe, as long as you don’t take excessive amounts of it,” the experts added.

“If you take medications or have health conditions, you should ask your doctor before using apple cider vinegar or any other natural health remedy.”

Apple cider vinegar can be picked up from most supermarkets as well as health stores.

Experts recommended taking one or two tablespoons a day.

    How should you take it?

There are a number of ways to consume the supplement.

ACV has a strong acidic taste so could be best taken mixed with water or a hot drink.

It can also be added into a salad dressing.
