Carrie Symonds and Boris Johnson along with other leaders including Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron posed for formal socially-distanced photos on Carbis Bay resort today. For the occasion, the Prime Minister’s wife stunned in a gorgeous silk dress.
Garments can be rented for between four and 14 days at any one time.
The description of the dress reads: “Bold pink midi dress crafted from pleated mid-weight silk georgette.
“Concealed hook-and-eye and zip fastening at the back.”
The website currently states that the pink dress is not currently available.
One person said: “Looks so sophisticated, suits her well.”
Another wrote: “Lovely for summer, shame it isn’t better weather today!”
“Looks like a ballgown, how gorgeous,” tweeted a third.
In a bold move, Carrie rented her £2,870 wedding dress for her big day.
The appliqúed embroidered tulle gown by Greek fashion designer Christos Costarellos was available to buy on luxury website, Net-a-Porter.
It was also available to rent via the website My Wardrobe HQ for just £45 a day.
Christos Costarellos has become one of Greece’s leading designers since launching his label in 1998, but the brand isn’t very well-known in the UK.
The description of the dress reads: “Created as part of an exclusive bridal capsule, this gown is handmade from tiers of wispy ivory tulle spun with plenty of silk.
“The latticework trims and hand-cut ‘Kopaneli’ corded lace appliqúes are signature of the atelier and woven using traditional Greek patterns.”
