Gwyneth Paltrow voiced her approval of ex Ben Affleck’s rekindled romance with Jennifer Lopez in the comment section of an Instagram post on Friday.
The singer’s stylist, Mariel Haenn, initially posted a shot of the happy couple gazing into each other’s eyes during their red carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival.
Affleck’s 48-year-old ex-girlfriend expressed her approval of the couple’s rekindled relationship by commenting: ‘Okay, this is cute.’

Paltrow and Affleck initially met during a 1997 dinner party that was hosted by disgraced entertainment executive Harvey Weinstein.
The pair started a relationship not long after they were introduced, and they went on to costar in the 1998 period drama Shakespeare In Love.
They also costarred in the 2000 romantic drama Bounce, which received mixed reviews upon its release.
The former couple later split up in 1999, and although they briefly reconciled, they went their separate ways for good that same year.

Paltrow later spoke about their relationship during a 2003 interview with Diane Sawyer, where she noted via Entertainment Weekly that her former partner was not the most well-put-together of individuals.
‘Ben makes life tough for himself…He’s got a lot of complication, and you know, he really is a great guy. So I hope he sorts himself out,’ she said.
The actress also expressed that her former boyfriend had ‘a very different sort of value system’ at the time of their split.

However, the two mended their differences over the years, and the performer later spoke about their connection during a 2018 interview with Howard Stern, where she stated via People that their relationship was very educational for her.
‘It’s interesting, I think there’s certain boyfriends where you are trying to work stuff out…you’re trying to heal certain stuff from your childhood and he was very much a lesson in that way,’ she said.
Paltrow also noted that, although she was unsure of what she wanted to accomplish with the relationship, she grew as a person throughout its course.

‘I’m not sure exactly what I was trying to heal in that instance, but…he was, you know, it was specific,’ she stated.
Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance earlier this year after splitting up in 2004.
The 49-year-old performer was previously married to Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children.

Affleck and Lopez were first reported to have resumed their relationship this past April, although they did not confirm anything at the time.
The two went on to publicly confirm that they were dating again with a post that was shared to the singer’s Instagram account in July.
They have since been spotted in public together on multiple occasions and have already introduced their respective children to each other.
Their appearance at the Venice Film Festival marked the first time that they had attended a red carpet event with each other since their reconciliation.
