Jurgen Klopp looking to adopt Philippe Coutinho strategy in Liverpool transfer pursuit

Having lit up Anfield for five years, Liverpool cashed in on Coutinho for a whopping £142m, making him the second most expensive player in the world at the time.

While it has not worked out for Coutinho since his departure, he is most fondly remembered for his Liverpool antics in which he was a joy to watch operating between the lines, creating a number of chances for those around him every game.

Should Barella join, he will already be three years Coutinho’s senior when he made his Liverpool debut, which many Reds fans will hope means less of an adjustment period.
