Karl Stefanovic asks Today show co-host Ally Langdon if she has Covid as she coughs uncontrollably during awkward on-air moment
The Today show took an unexpected turn on Thursday after co-host Ally Langdon joked she’d contracted Covid-19.
Ally was left red-faced after she began uncontrollably coughing after interviewing a medical expert about the recent coronavirus cluster at City Gym, in Darlinghurst.
‘Excuse me,’ Ally apologised in a croaky voice, before turning to her co-host Karl Stefanovic saying: ‘It sounds a bit Covid, doesn’t it?’
‘Do you need a booster shot?’ Karl joked.
‘I might need a booster shot,’ Ally giggled, adding; ‘I will go and get one today. Sorry about that doctor. We will talk to you soon.’
Ally continued to cough after the interview was over, prompting Karl to slowly lean away in mock repulsion.

‘I’m not finished [coughing] either,’ Ally lamented, before asking Karl whether he’d like to read out the next portion of the show.
‘Are you OK? he asked warily, to which Ally responded, ‘I am’, before exploding in another coughing fit.
Karl eventually tried to help Ally relieve herself by patting her roughly on the back.

‘Thanks,’ we’re good now,’ Ally assured him.
‘We can do that, we’re double vaxxed!’ Karl added, giving Ally one last almighty whack on the back.
‘Ow!’ Ally exclaimed, before finally launching into the next segment.
