If Nunez fails to deliver in his debut campaign, his spot in the team may not be assured. Luis Diaz is almost a shoo-in to play when he is fit and the pace of him and Zaha in the same team could be frightening.
Nunez has shown glimpses this season of why Liverpool splashed out so much on him. However, Diaz can play centrally, allowing Zaha to occupy a wide position and force Nunez out of the side.

Vieira dismissed claims this week that Zaha’s contract situation is a problem for Palace. He said: “It’s not an issue at all. Wilfried knows what the club thinks about him and we know what he thinks about the club.
“There will be a discussion taking place but for myself and for the club what is important is for him to play at this level and to be consistent and to help those young players around him to grow and we’ll see what will happen.”
