Bryce Ruthven reveals why he and fiancée Melissa Rawson skipped the final Married At First Sight dinner party

Bryce Ruthven and his now-fiancée Melissa Rawson chose to skip the final dinner party during this year’s season of Married At First Sight.

And the former radio host, 30, revealed on Tuesday whey they were no-shows for the event, and what they did instead.

He posted a video to Instagram that was timestamped November 26 last year, which is when MAFS Australia would have been nearing the end of production.

He wrote in the caption: ‘You know now we didn’t go to the last dinner party (same day we called the police to try and get us out of there ’cause we were over the treatment we were getting – Google it).’

Bryce added that they instead had their ‘own dinner party’ at a restaurant in Sydney, and also broke the ‘curfew’ enforced by producers.

‘Yep, you read correctly… curfew! Producers made everyone be in their apartment by 9pm on weeknights, 11pm on weekends,’ he said.

‘Some of us even had it reduced to 7pm for two weeks because we went and had a few beers one night,’ he added.

In the accompanying footage, Bryce joked about Melissa being worried about their producer-mandated ‘curfew’ and told her: ‘It’s our f**king night, mate, no curfew.’

She said: ‘That’s what our lives have been accustomed to under this strict regime.’

Bryce also shared commentary from behind the scenes of the MAFS reunion, which took place on February 10.

He posted a selfie of the couple dressed for the evening and said they both weren’t bothered about going because the others were just ‘chasing camera time’.

Bryce also claimed one groom was ‘kicked out early’ because of ‘his anger management issues.

‘Producers covered up the shady dating history of one contestant who was good at bringing in rumours from home until there was one about themselves,’ he added in a dig at his nemesis, Beck Zemek, whose past came back to haunt her at the reunion.

‘Then they went quiet and we finally got a good steak!’ he said.
