Prince Charles called to 'check in' on Queen amid health scare – 'Completely reassured'

The 95-year-old monarch’s recent health scare has caused the nation and the Royal Family worry after the Queen pulled out of yet another engagement and missed Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph. According to reports, the Prince of Wales, 73, called his mother over the weekend to check the dutiful monarch was following doctors orders and resting.

Sources close to the Royal Family revealed Charles asked how she was feeling after she strained her back before Remembrance Sunday.

“The Prince of Wales made sure to check in with the Queen ahead of his departure and was completely reassured of her current condition by Her Majesty herself,” a royal source told the Mirror.

“The Queen is resting at Windsor Castle and will continue to do so until she is back to full health.

“Straining your back can be incredibly debilitating and rest is best right now.”

Several members of the Firm gathered to attend the service on Sunday, including Camilla, Charles, Kate Middleton and Prince William.

While the monarch has missed several engagements since falling ill last month, the Prime Minister reassured royal fans it is not a cause for concern.

“I just wanted to reassure everybody by saying that I did see the Queen for an audience last week . . . in Windsor, and she’s very well,” Boris Johnson told a press conference.

Prince Charles’ phone call check up comes before the Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, embark on a royal tour where the couple are expected to arrive in the capital Amman Tuesday morning.

The pair are also expected to travel to Egypt in the upcoming days.
