Prince Harry was dubbed a ‘real man’ by Nicki Minaj for choosing Meghan over Royal Family

Ms Minaj was caught in a media whirlwind this week after she tweeted disinformation about the coronavirus side effects, notably that her cousin had become impotent because the jab had swollen his testicles. The tweet was retweeted 119,000 times and received 148,000 likes. Things escalated when Ms Minaj’s claim was mentioned to England’s chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty who said the rapper “should be ashamed” and that her tweet was “clearly ridiculous”.

Boris Johnson added that he would rather receive coronavirus information from Dr Nikki Kanani, NHS England’s medical director of primary care, than Ms Minaj.

The rapper soon responded to Professor Whitty on Twitter saying “I love him even tho[ugh] I guess this was a diss”

She then recorded a voice note for Mr Johnson, where she pretended to be a British Oxford graduate and friend of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

When the voice note was shared by BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg the rapper called the journalist a “jack*ss” and signed off a retweet with “go away dumbo”.

However this was not the first time Ms Minaj has waded into British current affairs.

In February 2020 the rapper threw her support behind Harry after he and his wife Meghan took the unprecedented decision to step down from senior royal duties and move to California.

Speaking on Apple Music’s Queen Radio she said: “Now I do want to get into something ‒ who thinks it’s cool that the girl Meghan Markle left the UK with her husband?

“Kudos to Harry because let me tell you something, and this is what I love about my husband ‒ real men always say a happy wife, a happy life.

Ms Minaj said that she considered it attractive when men put their partner over everything, and said that was reflected in her relationship with husband Kenneth Petty.

    She said: “It’s so attractive.

“Put your woman first […] and make sure she’s always comfortable and happy.

“And what happened to Princess Diana, we don’t need a redo or a rerun.

“Everybody knows I love Princess Diana and if you’re being bullied in the media and you’re sick of this s**t and all you wanted was to marry the man that you loved, then by God yes he should support you in getting the f**k up out of there.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex featured on the cover of Time magazine this week as they were named among the world’s 100 most influential people.

On Monday Harry also celebrated his 37th birthday, just months after the couple welcomed their second child Lilibet.

It was Harry’s second birthday since the Sussexes’ left the Royal Family and in celebration the Prince of Wales shared a touching photo of the pair on Clarence House’s social media.

The picture was of Charles and a young Harry on a royal engagement together in South Africa, months after Harry’s mother Princess Diana tragically died in a car crash.
