Queen in hospital causes Get Well Soon cards to skyrocket – ‘meaningful' to public

    The Queen, 95, hosted billionaire businessmen on Tuesday, October 19 at Windsor Castle with Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. The event was a Global Investment Conference for the Global Investment Summit. The billionaire guests included Bill Gates and John Kerry, and the Queen engaged with them fully at the event.

    “Her Majesty is in good spirits and is disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she had been due to undertake a series of engagements today and tomorrow.

    “The Queen sends her warmest good wishes to the people of Northern Ireland, and looks forward to visiting in the future.”

    News then emerged later on Thursday, October 21, that the Queen had spent Wednesday night in hospital.

    In the aftermath of this news, searches for Get Well Soon cards skyrocketed by 400 percent as the Queen left the hospital on Thursday morning, on October 21.
