‘Works wonders’: Mrs Hinch fans share ‘amazing’ methods for removing grease from clothing

    Cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, rose to fame on social media. The cleaning star has gained more than four million followers on her Instagram page.

    One online user posted: “Elbow Grease. Works every time for me.”

    Sharing their technique, one person commented: “Put Fairy washing up liquid neat onto the marks put on a good amount, give it a rub then leave for ten mins or so and put in normal wash. 

    “This always works when I get cooking splatters on tops.”

    Elbow Grease can be bought from Asda for £1.

    “Put some neat washing liquid on and it will go,” advised one online user.

    Agreeing it had proven as an effective solution, one person wrote: “I did this recently on a pair of jeans.”

    One person posted: “I know it’s an old-fashioned idea, but I use a brown paper bag over the oil mark.”

    “Then the hot iron over it. Usually removes it.”
